Marv DeWall began his racing in the early 1950's. He competed in his
first race at Estelline SD. Known also as the "Old Fox", DeWall
holds the most track Championships at the Jackson Speedway, winning titles
in 1961 and 1962 in the old stock car division, 1966, 1971, 1978 in the
Supermodifieds, and 1980 and 1981 in the 317 c.i. Sprint car division.
In 1979, DeWall raced the #32 Dick Valentine Sprinter to his biggest win
in his career by winning the first annual Jackson Nationals. Marv raced
from Winnipeg, Canada to Dallas TX, winning point or track championships
at Watertown, Aberdeen, Sious Falls, Rapid City, South Dakota, Fargo ND
and of course Jackson. He also won races at the Minnesota State Fair and
the Clay County Fair.
In 2002 Marv was an inaugural inductee into the Jackson Speedway Hall
of Fame and was inducted into the Huset's Speedway Hall of Fame.
